An off-duty police officer is declared dead at the scene after being pulled from the water at a beach in Perth's northern suburbs.
Police and other emergency services were called to Mettam's Pool, north of Trigg Beach , at about 10:30am on Tuesday in response to reports of a diver in distress.
After the woman's body was removed from the area, a number of visibly distraught people were seen arriving at the scene in the early afternoon.In a statement, a WA Police spokesperson said they extended their thoughts and deepest condolences to her family and colleagues.
