Novak Djokovic has found himself at the centre of another international border controversy after Indian Wells tournament organisers revealed he had not yet been cleared by health authorities to take part in the event.
“We are currently in communication with his team; however, it has not been determined if he will participate in the event by getting CDC [Centre for Disease Control] approval to enter the country.” The world No.2 has been granted a bye in the first round and is due to play the winner of Thompson’s clash with David Goffin.
