The county and Southwestern College’s Small Business Development Center are accepting applications until July 15.
San Diego County is offering local microbusinesses $2,500 grants to help with COVID-19 recovery.
The program defines a microbusiness as self-employed workers, independent contractors, sole proprietors and corporations with no more than five employees in 2019 to now. The county and the Small Business Development Center at Southwestern College are reviewing applications and will be evaluating if the business was significantly impacted by COVID-19.The program also specifies that this microbusiness must have been the primary source of revenue for the owner. The business must have been started before Dec. 31, 2019, and is currently operating or plans to reopen.The funding for the program comes from the county Board of Supervisors allocating about $4.
