America Chavez creator 'insulted' by Marvel's 'pittance' offer ahead of DoctorStrange 2 Debut
✖ America Chavez's creator was"insulted" by Marvel's compensation offer ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Casey says that the offer he received from the corporation was a"pittance." The writer would go on to say that he wasn't really in this for the money, but rather to make a clear path for the next comic book creator that has their work adapted.
"Marvel has paid me nothing for America Chavez, not only for appearing in the Doctor Strange sequel, but in numerous animated TV episodes, for the numerous action figures they've made of her, for video games she's appeared in," added Casey."They seem to be fine with that." Here's how Marvel describes Multiverse of Madness:"Now that Iron Man and Captain America have left after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former genius surgeon and the strongest magician of them all, Doctor Strange, is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers. However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered the most dangerous has opened the door to a mysterious madness called 'the Multiverse.
