The hospital has since allowed him to sleep on-site as a temporary measure. And after Premier Gladys Berejiklian on April 7 announced free accommodation for front-line healthcare workers, Dr Al Abbasi said he became overjoyed.it was up to local health districts to make the arrangements for those seeking accommodation.But Dr Al Abbasi said when he originally approached management, they were unaware of the details.
Dr Al Abbasi said there needed to be more clarity for front-line workers about how to access accommodation options.has spoken to several healthcare workers desperate to isolate from vulnerable family members but who have been unable to secure housing through their local health districts.
