Russell T. Davies’s return to Doctor Who could mean the 15th Doctor’s companion will be similar to beloved former character, Rose Tyler.
The beloved sci-fi series, Doctor Who, turns 60 this year, and with that milestone comes the Fifteenth Doctor and companion Ruby Sunday, the latter of whom may have a link to the beloved companion of the Ninth and Tenth Doctors: Rose Tyler. While new episodes are expected in late 2023 and early 2024, Ruby Sunday's background is currently unknown.

Considering Davies' experience and involvement with the show, there's a possibility that the character of Ruby could be similar to Rose.
Ruby may not be the only character who is akin to Rose Tyler in Doctor Who season 14. Actress Yasmin Finney will be playing a mysterious character named Rose in the 60th anniversary specials and forthcoming season. Whether this Rose has a connection to Rose Tyler has not yet been revealed, but audiences can likely expect entertaining dynamics between the characters regardless.Russell T.
One of the most popular companions is Rose Tyler and the dynamic she had with The Doctor could be recreated by RTD for the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby. Judging by the recent teaser trailer for Doctor Who, Ncuti Gatwa's depiction of The Doctor appears to have the same practical, straight-talking, modern vibe as Christopher Eccleston's Ninth iteration. This would make him a potentially fantastic match for a Rose Tyler-like Ruby.
