Doctors viewers have launched a passionate petition on Change.org in a bid to convince bosses to bring back the beloved soap, as many fans are frustrated with the BBC's decision
Doctors fans have started a petition to save the iconic BBC lunchtime soap from getting axed, after it was announced that it will be wrapped up next year.
In the petition statement, which has been posted on Change.org, a group of fans urged "the BBC to reconsider this decision and keep Doctors on screen". "The axing of this beloved series after 23 years is not just an end to another TV show - it represents a loss in our daily routines and shared cultural experiences."
"We urge the BBC to reconsider this decision and keep "Doctors" on air. This long-running soap opera holds significant sentimental value for many viewers like me who have followed it through all these years. It read: “We have taken the very difficult decision to bring daytime drama Doctors to an end after 23 years.
“The final episode will screen in December 2024 and we are working closely with BBC Studios to give it the finale it deserves," the corporation added.
