A beloved traditional scarecrow festival will return this weekend for the first time this weekend with the stops pulled out, featuring a dog show for canines of all sizes and castle tours.
Scarecrow Sunday is back at Brampton Bryan this weekend with a £2 entry fee for all except children under 12, who get in free. Parking is free and the event runs from 11am to 5pm.
"Or any historians in the family might like to take up the rare chance of a tour around Brampton Bryan Castle, these are at 12pm and 3.30pm, hosted by Edward Harley, The Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire." It is now the main fundraising event for the church and other local charities, and regularly draws over a thousand visitors.
