Waitlist for sexual violence counselling in Queensland has hit six to 12 months as critics say the lion's share of funding goes towards reforms, instead of frontline services.

Frontline services estimate an extra $300 million is needed to address the crisis in Queensland.The Queensland Sexual Assault Network is calling on the Queensland government to deliver an additional $30 million for operational services on the frontline every year.

Domestic Violence Action Centre chief executive Amie Carrington said a tenfold increase in funding was needed. According to analysis from the organisation, from the "Hear her voice" reform, 85 per cent of the budget went to government reform agenda and only 15 per cent was allocated to frontline services.

Queensland Sexual Assault Network secretariat Angela Lynch is calling on the government to invest an additional $30m into existing services."It's difficult to be excited about different announcements when we can't even get basic service delivery right," Ms Lynch said.In Queensland, victims of sexual violence have to wait between six to 12 months to receive counselling support, QSAN said."We are a rich state, we are a rich country and this is just not acceptable.
