Dominic Perrottet has delivered a shocking, fiery spray at reporters when pressed about his brothers while on the campaign trail in Sydney.

Mr Perrottet’s brothers are wanted before a NSW parliamentary inquiry into alleged impropriety within the Hills Shire Council but have so far evaded attempts by parliamentary staff to serve them.

“Leave my family out of it,” he said as he launched into an angry spray at the gathered journalists.“I’m here elected to represent the people of New South Wales.” The ongoing scandal surrounding his brothers is threatening to derail the Premier less than 40 days out from the state election, where he is seeking his first elected term in the state's top job.

A Sydney businessman told the probe on Wednesday that Jean-Claude Perrottet and Hills Shire Councillor Christian Ellis had approached him for a $50,000 donation to help them “get rid of Alex Hawke” in an alleged branch stacking attempt.
