Due to ongoing threats to France by Islamist terrorist groups, and recent French military intervention against Daesh , the French government has warned the public to be extra vigilant and has reinforced its own domestic and overseas security measures.’’

Global counter-terrorism efforts should put travellers at ease. I hope so. France is too good to miss. Many relics of great ecclesiastical significance survived the blaze that burned for 15 hours. Mercifully, the Grand Organ, the largest of its kind in the country with over 8,000 pipes, suffered only minor damage.
