The trailer for DoomPatrol season 4 reveals the return of the Were-butts.
The critically-acclaimed series Doom Patrol is back with a season 4 trailer that reveals the return of the strange Were-butts and much more. The DC comics property arrives this December for an unprecedented season 4. Season 3 saw substantial character development, the introduction of Madam Rouge to the titular Doom Patrol, and the team finally banding together as a bona fide superhero group.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Among other odd occurrences, Doom Patrol season 3 saw the brief return of the Were-butt creatures from season 1, episode 12, "Cyborg Patrol," which escaped confinement at the Bureau of Normalcy's Ant Farm thanks to the central super-team. In the rampage, the Were-butts attacked Bureau member Darren Jones, who appeared in season 3's "Undead Patrol" to take vengeance against the Doom Patrol.
How The Were-Butts Return In Doom Patrol Season 4 The Doom Patrol season 4 trailer's opening scene is the most substantial sequence within the new footage, which otherwise consists of brief clips typical for a trailer. That fact alone hints at the Were-butts playing a more significant role in season 4 than in previous seasons, where they only appeared as oddly humorous monsters that the Doom Patrol easily fends off.
Clips later in the trailer portray the Doom Patrol fighting the Were-butts, which could have populated from the surviving zombie Were-butt in season 3. It will be interesting to see their origins and how vital their role is in season 4, which is currently lacking a major villain. While some new characters, including Codpiece and Casey Brinke, appear in the Doom Patrol season 4 trailer, there are no indications of a big bad similar to Mr. Nobody or The Brain.
