New deep-sea technology and different crash theories will be used as two more companies undertake bids to find the wreckage of doomed flight MH370.

In 2014, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau was chosen to lead the underwater search but did not find the aircraft. The last official search was conducted by US company, Ocean Infinity. Two private companies are now submitting search proposals to the Malaysian government based on new data analysis and technology

Both Deep Sea Vision and Ocean Infinity are partly relying on new analysis by pilot Patrick Blelly and air traffic management researcher Jean-Luc Marchand.Mr Marchand says a search of that zone could be completed in a week, while an expanded zone could be searched within 12-15 days.Attempts to solve the mystery

An hour into the flight, MH370's transponder was turned off and after two hours the plane disappeared from radar screens. He says the theory that the plane glided into the southern Indian Ocean was also examined, but this scenario was determined to be unlikely."It was one of the most complex searches in history, and it covered such a range of possibilities that had to be considered when trying to narrow down that area," Mr Mitchell said.

"The search team started to think perhaps the end of flight scenario that we were working with was incorrect," he said.
