Victoria has recorded 29 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours with all cases infectious in the community.
Victorian woke up to their second day in lockdown on Saturday after strict stay-at-home orders were reimposed state-wide on Thursday evening after three mystery cases were recorded. Premier Daniel Andrews warned the state would be overrun with COVID patients if they did not re-enter lockdown.
Three schools in the western suburbs of Melbourne were closed this morning for deep cleaning, including a specialist school in Hopper's Crossing as the Delta variant seeps into the Victorian education system.
