A fatal crash on the Bruce Highway near Maryborough, Queensland has claimed two lives and left a child hospitalized. The road is closed in both directions causing significant delays for holiday travelers.
Two people are dead and a child is in a stable condition in hospital after a crash on the Bruce Highway, near Maryborough in Queensland , this morning. Holiday-makers are facing lengthy delays on the highway with the road closed in both directions, five kilometres north of Tiaro at Owanyilla, near Mungar Road. It is the second fatal crash on Queensland 's roads in 2025, with both accidents in Queensland 's Wide Bay region.
On January 1, a 55-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving left the road and collided with a culvert at Dalysford near Gin Gin, 45 minutes west of Bundaberg. The horror start to the year follows 302 lives lost on Queensland roads in 2024, the worst in 15 years
