In 2014, a semi-trailer crashed into his Ford Taurus on Interstate 10 near Woodstone Drive. His car rolled over repeatedly until it came to a stop dangling from an overpass. As a child in Baltimore, Heath faced a different kind of challenge: entrenched racism. In 1964, his mother, Rosie Heath, lay down in the street with church members and neighbors to block buses that were transporting children to segregated schools.
