Dovestones car park overflowing as people flock to beauty spot to enjoy bank holiday sun
The car park for Dovestones was overflowing on Monday as people once again flocked to the popular beauty spot to enjoy the bank holiday sun.
And a similar warning was issued again ahead of the bank holiday weekend, with temperatures reaching highs of around 18C, due to the limited parking available for the amount of visitors who flock to the reservoir.In previous years marshals have been brought in to control the traffic, with many people being turned away, while at other times dozens have been slapped with fines for parking their cars on grass verges or blocking residential lanes.
Earlier this month, fed up locals called the situation a 'nightmare' and claimed they had even been 'shouted and sworn' at when approaching motorists.
