Dow Jones surges 912 points on bets for COVID-19 vaccine

In the trial of 45 volunteers, eight volunteers who got two doses of its vaccine had developed coronavirus antibodies, the US drug maker Moderna said in a statement — which led to its share price surging 20 per cent.The industrial-skewed Dow Jones index shot up 912 points, or 3.9 per cent to 24,597 points.In the overnight European session, Britain's FTSE and Germany's DAX saw even larger gains.
