More than 60 people have died in Samoa from the measles - mostly children - and so, now, a New Zealand coffin club is making and sending small caskets to help out.
At least 63 people, most of them children, have died in Samoa since the outbreak of measles began in mid-October.
And now, communities are being faced with an unimaginable problem - there aren't enough coffins to bury the bodies. A group from New Zealand - called Kiwi Coffin Club Charitable Trust - have come to the aid, and are making and sending smaller-sized coffins to Samoa."I don't want any more children to be buried without a coffin," he said."To watch a father bury his third child, I mean I've got children myself, so, it is just not easy to watch."According to a Facebook post, the club have been"busy over the past few days making coffins for Samoa".
Seventy-seven-year-old Ron Wattam has been heading up proceedings at the club - which usually meets once per week but has been working long hours to make this important delivery possible.
