visited the school with NSW Minister for Education and Early Learning Sarah Mitchell this morning to welcome students into their new school on Term One.'s north-west holding signs which read: "More than thanks".About 40 teachers from Marsden High School gathered outside of Meadowbank Public School holding signs which read "more than thanks".
NSW Teachers Federation president Angelo Gavrielatos said there is a crippling teacher shortage because of the uncompetitive pay and heavy workloads. Mr Perrottet said public sector workers have seen greater pay increases over their private counterparts over the past decade."I have made it very clear that we're working through those issues with the unions right across the board."
"Over the last 10 years, we have seen, in terms of public sector pay increases, in real terms, around 5.4 per cent.Mr Perrottet said he wants NSW to lead the way in providing pay increases, particularly in an inflationary environment.
