NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says while the majority of COVID cases are occurring in southwest Sydney, she also wants to see a rise in COVID testing in western Sydney.
This comes after NSW recorded 105 new locally acquired COVID cases with 27 infectious in the community.
“But can I just stress this, we are seeing cases from across metropolitan Sydney. We are seeing unlinked cases. Dr Chant said the areas of concern for testing include Fairfield, Bankstown, Liverpool, Lakemba, Georges River, Bayside, Sutherland, and western Sydney.
