A former Dreamworld dancer is suing the theme park for $900,000 after she claims she injured her foot during a double shift due to insufficient rest and stretching time. Caitlin Fegan alleges Dreamworld was negligent and breached its duty of care, while the company denies the claims. Fegan worked from 9.45am until 3.45pm before starting a night shift from 4.45pm until 9.30pm, stating she only had one hour to change, rehearse, and eat. She claims the dance floor was uneven and caused her foot injury, requiring ongoing medical treatment. Dreamworld maintains Fegan was given a full hour break and the dance floor was not hazardous.

Caitlin Fegan, 26, has filed paperwork in the Supreme Court against Dreamworld , alleging it was “negligent” and breached its “duty of care” to her, according to the Courier Mail. The company has rejected the claims. The incident occurred on June 26, 2021, when Fegan worked from 9.45am until 3.
” Fegan claimed concrete surface on which she performed the routine was in poor condition, uneven, and sloped. She allegedly suffered damage to her bones and ligaments in the middle part of her foot. Fegan claimed she needed ongoing medical treatment including surgery and said the injury has reduced her employability. Coast Entertainment has denied Fegan’s claim, saying Fegan was given a full one-hour break between shifts.
