Daily News | Drexel achieves clutch victory over La Salle in overtime
In a City 6 matchup on a chilly Saturday afternoon, Drexel men’s basketball pulled away an overtime defeat against La Salle, 65-58, at Tom Gola Arena, ending the Explorers two-game winning streak.
La Salle freshman Rokas Jocius had a big first half off the bench, scoring all 12 of his points for the Explorers. Anwar Gill led La Salle with 15 points and Jhamir Brickus also added 12.La Salle opened the game strong, jumping out to a 8-0 lead while the Dragons’ offense couldn’t get anything going. It took Drexel more than four minutes to get on the board, but settled in nicely after that — thanks to some timely three pointers from Washington.
