A statement from Lancashire Constabulary said the driver then admitted to having had a drink
A 'drink driver' was found with several open beer cans inside his BMW in Preston, according to police.
The motorist was stopped the BMW 325 on Garstang Road. . Officers say they also discovered several open cans of beer inside the vehicle. Pictures show discarded beer cans in a passenger footwall, door pocket and on the armrest.Police say that the driver provided a breath sample of 60 - almost double the legal limit of 35. They also provided an in custody sample of 56. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "This BMW 325 was stopped on Garstang Road, Preston. The driver admitted to having a drink and had several open beer cans in the vehicle.
"The driver provided a positive breath sample of 60. In custody provided an evidential sample of 56!"
