A man crashed into a lamppost in the Ribble Valley at such speed that he took it 30 feet down the road and into a tree.
A lamppost in front of the car was transported around 30 feet from its original location. The car and lamppost were left and deposited by a tree as the driver, from Bolton, walked away from the scene.Officers arrived at the scene at around 11pm. The man was arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
