A red pickup truck hit a utility power box in Wheat Ridge early Friday and knocked out electricity for some residents

The driver was taken into custody by police for investigation of suspected driving under the influence of alcohol, according toSingle vehicle suspected DUI collision. Truck struck large utility box on the side of the road, knocking out power from 4100 to 4900 Field St to Youngfield. Crews on scene now to restore power; driver in custody.
