Police in McMahons Point, NSW, were called to a welfare concern involving an 18-year-old driver who allegedly fled the scene, hit a signpost, and then collided with a police vehicle twice. The driver sustained no serious injuries, was hospitalized, and later charged with multiple offenses.
Police were called to Henry Lawson Reserve in McMahons Point to respond to reports of a concern for welfare on Thursday at 10pm.
The driver allegedly accelerated harshly and collided with the police car twice, which police said caused significant damage to both cars.He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition under police guard.The man was discharged from hospital about 6.30am yesterday and he was taken to Chatswood Police Station.
