A woman has been left clinging to life when she was struck from behind by a car while walking on a footpath in Logan. The woman in her 20s was walking on Allamanda Dr in Daisy Hill when it is believed she was struck by a silver Toyota SUV about 9am on Friday. The car — possibly a Prado — “did not stop” as it left the scene, Acting Inspector Matthew Scott said. “To our understanding, she was on the footpath when the incident occurred,” Scott said. “Our understanding is she was hit from behind ...
” The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane with life-threatening head injuries. A witness found her unconscious and she has “remained that way” since the incident, Scott said. “It’s left that young lady in a very serious situation,” he said. “This particular victim is a daughter, she’s a sister and I’m sure we can all relate to that. And she’s just been left on the side of the road. “It’s a very sad state of affairs.
