'Report me, I don't care': Uber drivers boast of ripping off riders with cancellation fees

Another driver, who had done more than 9000 trips, said often riders made life hard for drivers by sending them to the wrong destination. Another driver called the fee a ‘slider’ and said ‘paxholes’ – a derogatory term commonly used in Uber forums to describe nuisance riders – deserved to be slugged if they expected drivers to pick them up in illegal or dangerous zones.
An Uber spokeswoman said more than 3.8 million Australians regularly choose Uber and driver cancellations represent a minute portion of all trips.Despite this the spokeswoman said they were continually working on solutions and education to inform drivers and riders about ways to reduce cancellations and safe pick ups.
