The court was told the 24-year-old had been travelling 168km/h in a 80km/h zone when he struck the Jeep about 3.30pm on August 30 last year. In a sentencing discussion with Indigenous elders, Comport sobbed and admitted the fatal crash never should have happened."I wish I was never on the road," he told the court.
