A driver who caused the death of teenager Bor Mabil in a high-speed crash in Adelaide's north is jailed over the reckless and dangerous crime.
A driver who was drunk and disqualified when he killed teenager Bor Mabil in a high-speed street race has been jailed, with a judge describing his crime as"reckless and dangerous".Bor Mabil's death occurred just hours before her brother took to the field for the SocceroosMs Mabil — the sister of Socceroos player Awer Mabil —Three other passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Akol Agui Akol was driving the car at the time and had a blood alcohol reading of 0.22 as well as MDMA in his system.On Wednesday, District Court Judge Paul Slattery sentenced Akol to up to three years and one month in jail, backdated to January 2019.
