A woman who launched a drunken tirade against two air stewardesses on a holiday flight has been spared jail.
Lauren Beaumont-Capps, 40, has avoided jail after abusing cabin crew as she tried to get off a Jet2 flight from Antalya in Turkey shortly after it landed at Manchester airport 'This incident made me feel quite uncomfortable and I am now apprehensive about flying as I am worried that something like this might happen again.’
Trouble flared when the plane landed 30 minutes late at 8.18 pm and Beaumont-Capps and her friend demanded to be let off the plane via the rear doors. Ms Shaw said she was asked by Ms Cammell and fellow cabin crew member Terri Grumbridge to stop swearing and keep her voice down. Ms Shaw said Beaumont-Capps then directed her abuse at Ms Grumbridge and said: 'Why don't you f***ing f**k off.'
Stewardess Olivia Cammell, pictured with her husband Joe, said that the incident was the first time she had been abused in eight years of flying He said that she had been suffering from depression for which she had been taking medication and was also having counselling for mental health issues.
