The plans have been given the green light by planning bosses
The American chain is set to open up in the former Carphone Warehouse unit at the Capitol Centre in Walton-le-Dale after South Ribble Borough Council agreed to change rules on the use of the building. The former shop has sat empty since 2020 but can now be brought back to use.
The new facility will offer donuts, sandwiches and other baked as well as hot and cold drinks with around 50 seats and a takeaway option. According to the firm, the new store will create 15 jobs.The business was launched in the 1950s when William Rosenberg noticed people dunking his homemade donuts into their coffee. It now operates in 46 countries but, with its first UK store opening in Liverpool in 2016. It has multiple Greater Manchester locations but had yet to move into Lancashire.
This weekend will see the launch of a new Home Bargains store on the same estate as the discount retailer replaces the former Fabb Sofas unit.
