Thousands of Brits could be missing out on a government allowance, worth up to £3,624. The Department for Work and Pensions have revealed that many people could be entitled to a Carer's Allowance, which they would be able to get alongside a Christmas bonus.
Because of this, the DWP have started to offer a Carer's Allowance, to help eligible people earn a bit of extra cash. Those who fit the eligibility criteria could get up to £270 a month.With many individuals and families currently struggling with the cost of living crisis, the cash could be a big help - particularly this close to Christmas. Those who are eligible for a Carer's Allowance will also be eligible for a one-time Christmas bonus payment of £10, so every little helps.
These benefits include Personal Independence Payment , Disability Living Allowance, and Attendance Allowance. You do not have to be related to, or live with, the person that you care for and you do not get paid extra if you care for more than one person.
