Brits will see a series of major economic changes throughout September that could affect their personal finances.
PayPal will begin charging customers more interest for every £500 borrowed through its credit service. The financial giant will raise its lowest APR from 21.9 per cent to 23.9 per cent. Secondly, claimants in the 'light touch' work group will have to start looking for more work or better paid employment. Claimants will also have to attend regular work-focused interviews and take part in work-preparation activities in order to keep receiving their benefit.

Bank of England interest rate announcement The Bank of England will announce its decision to increase the base rate or not. Ofgem said: "Every three months we review and set a level on how much an energy supplier can charge for each unit of energy. From 1 October 2023 the price for energy a typical household who use gas and electricity and pay by Direct Debit will go down to £1,923 per year."
