Everton manager Sean Dyche was speaking ahead of his side's Premier League clash against Wolves
Sean Dyche has opened up about the reality of managing Everton and weighed in on the debate around Michael Keane’s place in the team.
Transfers have also been high on the agenda at the club this summer, and even though the Blues have managed to bring in four new faces, many still have concerns about whether Dyche’s squad is fit for purpose. The Everton boss, however, has revealed that he always knew this season was going to be tough and believes there is no instant quick fix to the club’s problems.
"I went into pre-season not thinking it was all going to be easy - [it was never going to be the case] of 'oh well, we've got five brand new sparkly players for you.' "And you go: 'Hang on a minute; don't forget where you've been; don't forget your past; and let's build something new for the future.' "One thing I know about Everton football club – a lot of fans ask a lot of questions every week," Dyche replied when asked about the prospect of changes at centre-back.
Asked specifically about Keane, Dyche replied: "All individuals have an angle from the fans, good, bad, or indifferent."
