‘Easy target’ Dylan Mulvaney reacts to trolls amid Bud Light controversy

Though Mulvaney refrained from mentioning any names, O’Donnell had no issue slamming Kid Rock for posting a video of himself shouting “F— Bud Light and f— Anheuser-Busch!” while “Beer companies have been supportive of the LGBTQIA community for decades. This is not the first time. Who do you think sponsors pride? Gay people, trans people, we drink beer, too, man. Put down your gun, Kid Rock, it’s in bad taste,” she said.

The TikToker said anti-trans bigots snatch every chance they get to “shame” trans people and individuals who associate with them in an effort to stifle the community — she pointed to her visit to the Drew Barrymore, which sparked controversy after the host knelt in front of Mulvaney in an intimate moment.

“It’s just a heavy time. And it’s time to step up, for sure,” she said, adding that she doesn’t let the trolls’ behavior affect her. Mulvaney’s chat with O’Donnell marked the first time the influencer publicly spoke about the mounting backlash. She took a shot at her critics last week by breaking out into song — she shared a video of herself singing the Stephen Sondheim tune “No One is Alone” from “Into the Woods.”

“It’s hard to see the light now, just don’t let it go. This song felt fitting for the week I’ve been having,” Mulvaney captioned the post.
