AFL: West Coast have officially announced Andrew McQualter as the club's new men's senior coach, replacing premiership mastermind Adam Simpson.
West Coast have made their second big off-field appointment in as many weeks, with 2006 premiership coach John Worsfold returning to the club as their new Head of Football.
Worsfold coached the club between 2002 and 2013 during arguably the club’s greatest era since their inception into the AFL.“We are excited to see John rejoin the club in a role which we believe will be significant across our football programs. His coaching and football experience will provide vital assistance, leadership and support for our AFL, AFLW and WAFL teams,” Eagles chief executive Don Pyke said in a club statement on Tuesday afternoon.
In the same statement, Worsfold said he was keen to set into the new role, which he will officially commence on November 4 ahead of pre-season.
