Please, can we all spare a thought for poor Eamonn Holmes, who claims 'it's hard to be a white bloke in your sixties' in the media these days. Eamonn currently hosts the daily breakfast show on GB News and has been on national television for 30 years.
Now Eamonn has said that he believes he falls into a category that is ‘bottom of the list’ when it comes to casting choices.
‘No one’s interested in casting you, no one’s interested in planning a programme around you, no one’s interested in your experience. You do not tick the right boxes for them in terms of your sexuality, your ethnicity,’ he said.
Eamonn claimed that although his listenership ratings were ‘excellent’, an executive told him they wanted to pursue a younger audience.He now hosts a program on GB News with Isabel Webster ‘I basically told him to f**k off, and that was the end of that.’
