The family of 23 year-old Scott Carrigan say they are 'incredibly proud' after their son who died in August of last year donated his organs - labelling him a true 'hero'.
An East Kilbride family are "incredibly proud" after their son, who died last year aged just 23, donated his organs.
Scott had registered to be on the NHS Organ Donor Register when he was just 18-years-old and had briefly discussed it with his mum, meaning his family was able to honour his decision after his passing.READ MORE: Glasgow grandad with weeks to live reunites with his best man after 60 years "I then found out he’d registered twice. We honoured his choice and gave him his last wish. He had a true heart of gold and put everyone else before him. Although our grief as a family is immeasurable, there is good that has come from it and that gives us comfort. We’re just so incredibly proud.”
