EastEnders has confirmed that six characters will be returning for Dot Cotton's emotional funeral after actress June Brown passed away aged 95 in April.
It's also a chance for the soap stars to honour their beloved late co-star June, who had played the iconic Dot since 1985. In the upcoming scenes, Lauren, who left in 2018 and has been in New Zealand with on-screen son Louie, finds much has changed in Albert Square – and she’s very keen to get to know one handsome resident.
"June was the light and joy of EastEnders. I had so much fun working with her, the incredible stories and how infectious and witty she was. June is a legend and I miss her very much." "As soon as Dot appeared on screen, you knew June had all that history lighting up every look and every line in every single scene she was a part of."
Colin will appear alongside ex-love Barry for the first time since 1989, giving viewers the opportunity to see where Colin and Barry now fit into each other’s lives, years after their break-up in 1988.
