EastEnders fans were left heartbroken on Monday night as Lola Pearce heard that her brain tumour had worsened leaving her with only six months left to live 'at best'
EastEnders fans were left in pieces on Monday night, as the latest instalment of the popular BBC soap saw Walford favourite Lola Pearce dealt a harrowing health update.
Firmly looking towards the future, Lola was busy making plans for her charity fundraiser on Monday night’s episode, when she received an ominous phone call from the hospital asking her to come in for an appointment that was one week earlier than originally planned. Completely bowled over by the news a heartbroken Lola tried to hold it together alongside her boyfriend Jay, but eventually the news became too much and Lola broke down in tears as she realised her days truly were finally numbered.
Taking to twitter to share their thoughts, a slew of sobbing fans couldn’t hide their heartache at the poignant scenes, as they praised actress Danielle Harold’ s acting, while sharing their pain at the prospect of soon losing one of their most beloved characters.While another added: “Lola I know it's only a soap but it breaks my heart.”"So Lexi is officially dying now. This is the news they really didn't want to hear," commented another.
