EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick looks sombre as he films Lola's heartbreaking funeral scenes
EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, who plays grieving widower Jay Brown on the BBC One soap, has been spotted looking very sombre as he took a moment between filming scenes for Lola Pearce's funeral.
Since then, fans' worst fears were apparently confirmed as filming snaps showed a hearse driving through the Walford set with a beautiful floral display spelling out Lola in the back window. The actor also seemed to have sat in the makeup chair prior to his scenes, as he displayed dark marks under his eyes.
"We can talk about starting you on some chemotherapy, but I have to stress, this is purely palliative." Despite struggling through the emotional plot, the star was proud of her work to raise awareness for brain tumours, and thanked fans for all their support.
