Easter knitting appeal raises over £40,000 for children's hospice
Volunteers at Francis House Children’s Hospice in Manchester have created hand-knitted chicks and bunnies filled with creme eggs.
More than 30,000 chicks have so far been sold and the appeal is expected to raise in excess of £40,000. Francis House Fundraising officer Rachel Nasiri co-ordinates creme egg collectors, delivery drivers, school sellers and volunteers known as ‘stuffers’ to help fill every single chick.
