Europe is the latest place to succumb to higher interest rates, with the European Central Bank overnight raising its cash rate by half a per cent.
“That’s a far cry from, as you can see, where they had been previously,” he told Sky News Australia.
“The grave fear right now is that there is another recession on the way; that’s the reason the European Central Bank acted overnight.”
