Reflecting how streaming has given the biggest hit songs a longer tail than ever, the fourth biggest song of last year, ’s Blinding Lights, was in fact released in 2019. Its placing here adds to a litany of records: in November 2021, it was ranked as the biggest Billboard Hot 100 hit of all time.
