Deidre van Deventer lost her leg as a girl when her brother accidentally set off a bomb. Now middle-aged and living in public housing in Cape Town, Deidre binge drinks and has succumbed to a belligerent victim mentality. When the cops pay her a visit, Deidre must confront a dark past. Several corpses have been unearthed at her family’s former property, and links to pro-apartheid terrorism are suspected but the victims have yet to be identified.
