El Cajon woman, 70, dies two weeks after Flinn Springs crash [Breaking]
A 70-year-old El Cajon woman died last week in a San Diego hospital about two weeks after she was gravely injured in a two-vehicle crash near Flinn Springs County Park, authorities said Sunday.
Marilynn Asch, who’d been hospitalized since the May 3 collision, died early Tuesday at Sharp Memorial Hospital, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office. The crash that injured Asch occurred just after 1 p.m. as she was driving an Infiniti sedan north on Soldin Lane near Olde Highway 80 just west of the county park, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Her car collided with a vehicle headed west on the highway.Asch was unresponsive when paramedics took her by ambulance to the hospital. Emergency department doctors performed multiple surgeries. Despite the medical care, her condition never improved.
