An elderly woman was riding her a mobility scooter on a Melbourne street when she was robbed by a group of boys, with one struggling with her to steal her purse. 9News
The 87-year-old woman was on Southgateway in Langwarrin in Melbourne's south-east about 10.30am on Wednesday, 29 June when she was approached by six to eight young boys, according to police.The woman was riding a mobility scooter when she was robbed.
She took out her purse, telling police she planned to the give the boys a small amount of cash, before one of the boys grabbed her purse and a $100 note she was holding.The group then walked away towards Centre Road. The Langwarrin woman, who police say has been shaken by the incident, reported the incident on the weekend.Anyone with information about the incident, or dashcam footage or CCTV from the area at the time, is urged to contact police.
