Climate change has unsurprisingly been the most referenced issue during the debate in Kooyong between Treasurer Josh Frydenberg and Dr Monique Ryan this afternoon.
“This government does not have a real commitment to net zero by 2050 or for anything beyond that time we have.”Rachel Dexter Ryan claimed a hung parliament would be better for the country, while Frydenberg said it would prevent quick and decisive action by the government when needed.Helen Haines, an independent,” she said.
Frydenberg disagreed, saying Australia’s experience during the pandemic was the perfect example of the benefit of a government that could pass legislation in its own right.
